The Temperance Inn, Ambleside - The Inn Collection Group, Ambleside

I had a mixed experience at The Churchill. The rooms were very spacious but unfortunately quite cold as no radiators were on during the day, making it uncomfortable after coming back from a walk. The service was very helpful, especially when they brought us a heater; however, the breakfast was a disappointment, lacking quality sausages and black pudding. The location, in the center of Ambleside with convenient access to restaurants and shops, was pleasant. The dining experience didn't meet my expectations, but the staff's friendliness and helpfulness were notable.

The hotel room was small but cozy and clean, although not as superior as expected, with dirty bedding prompting us to leave after the first night due to discomfort. The service was friendly and professional, with a helpful staff willing to assist promptly. The location was convenient with access to various places, but the dining experience was a letdown due to disappointing food quality. The hotel facilities were basic but suitable for a short stay.
